Training is everything for a trapeze Artist. The sheer physical demands on the body require strength, coordination, flexibility, timing, and experience. Daily workouts of stretching and strengthening muscles combined with weekly sessions on the trapeze, hoop, ropes and bungee are a standard regimen. Climbing a rope 24 feet into the air at the start of every practice session helps keep you in top physical condition.
Training can be many things besides what you're training for. Training can be swimming in the ocean or running on the beach.. It can be sitting quietly and visualizing your entire routine from start to finish. It is also practicing one movement over and over again until you know it so well it's part of you. Creating an Act takes weeks of development and practice to complete. Perfecting the moves and deciding where they will go with the Music takes careful planning.
Training is also taking courses from other athletes to learn new skills to enhance our performance and broaden your scope.
